Retreat Details
Join YuMee Chung and Michelle Corbeil on retreat this November to experience la dolce vita in breathtaking Sicily. Located on an historic island just off the "toe" of Italy's "boot," your home away from home will be a beautifully restored 19th century farmhouse surrounded by olive and almond groves, watermelon fields and, of course, the magic of the Mediterranean Sea.
Our twice daily yoga and meditation sessions will feature well-choreographed organic Hatha Vinyasa practices that are cohesively designed with a deep respect for body and breath while weaving-in rich philosophical themes. Expertly guided by two senior teachers, the yoga instruction will meet you where you are, regardless of your level of experience, and offer you the kind of detailed, individual attention that catalyzes personal breakthroughs while lending depth to your practice. You can expect to work up a good sweat, access states of meditative stillness, learn self-care techniques, and plant seeds for the months ahead.
Between practice sessions, you will enjoy:
- seasonal farm-to-table organic meals prepared by a local gourmet chef who is equipped to accommodate your dietary needs
- complimentary cooking class with our chef
- dips in the freshwater infinity pool
- bike rides through 80 acres of farmland
- optional visits to nearby towns, including the unspoilt World Heritage town of Noto which is only a 15 minute drive south.
- an optional visit to the nearby Nature Reserve of Vendicari, a wildlife haven and home to the island’s most beautiful and deserted golden sand beaches (the sea is a very swimmable 20 degrees in November)
- Optional massages with local bodyworkers
